Isaiah Skye Barker

About Me

Hey there! My name is Isa Barker and I am a senior at Skyline High School. I have always been inspired by my grandmother- who recently sold her business after almost 50 years of ownership- and I am forever grateful for all of the opportunities I've experienced there. I’ve also been influenced by my father and brother, both having pioneered in their own fields and I am hoping to find that same passion in entrepreneurship that those around me have. I'm set to graduate at 16, have extensive history of advanced classes, starting with the gifted and talented programs in my various elementary schools, all the way to the recent AP & IB courses I’m taking currently. I greatly value empathy and honesty and enjoy getting lost in thought-provoking books or spending time with my pets and loved ones. I spend much of my time outside school volunteering through Skyline's Community of Caring class and club, as well as with the Sammy Center.  I’m also a board member of Community of Caring and a member of the National Honor Society. I would especially like to thank Erin Paulsen for convincing me to apply for this program.

At Terra & Flora, we create quality hand-built ceramics to share our passion with individuals interested in supporting independent artists and developing with our art as our collections progress. I created this business so that it could last wherever life takes me, and provide that opportunity for other small artists, revolutionizing the approach to selling ceramic art.
